Obituary of Joseph Bushelli

Joseph A. (Joe Bu) Bushelli, 91, of Tilbury Terrace, West Nanticoke and formerly Sheatown, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit, Dunmore.
Born November 12, 1928, he was a son of the late Giuseppe and Julia Dubiak (Fuciarelli) Bushelli. Joseph lived in Sheatown for most of his life until moving to Tilbury Terrace ten years ago.
He was self -employed as Joseph A. Bushelli, Contractor for over fifty years, retiring in 2002. After retirement he kept active working for Quick Courier Service, Wilkes-Barre for several years.
He was a member of Newport Township Fire Company for many years; was a member of Wyoming Valley Lodge # 36, Fraternal Order of Police as well as the Italian-American Sporting Club. Glen Lyon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Dixon as well as an infant sister, and brothers, William Bushall and Frank, Peter, Raymond and James Bushelli.
He is survived by his wife, the former, Evelyn Elmy; a daughter, Terri Callahan and husband, Patrick, with whom he resided at Tilbury Terrace; sons, Gary Bushelli and wife, Linda of Hightstown, NJ and Randy Bushelli and wife, Andrea of Fletcher, NC;; grandchildren, Toni Bushelli, Jennifer Baldesare and husband Jason, Briana Capps and husband, Dustin and Alexandra Bushelli and husband, Nicholas White; great grandchildren, Gavin and Chase Baldesare and Raylee Capps; a sister, Arlene Krajewski and husband, Henry of Blytheburn Lake; many nieces and nephews and his caregiver, Sandy Repak.
Viewing and visitation hours will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Church of Christ Uniting, 190 S. Sprague Avenue, Kingston with the Rev. Jane M. Pykus, officiating. Those attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church Tuesday morning.
Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Sheatown.
