Henry Marcus Gruber, infant son of Kyle and Kelly Gruber of Pond Hill, died on Friday, January 20, 2023, shortly after delivery by emergency surgery at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. In addition to his parents, he is survived by brothers, Gavin and Xavier; maternal grandmother, Sandra Maga, of Nanticoke; paternal grandmother, Patricia Gruber; and great grandmother, Teresa Gruber both of Sheatown; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded by grandfathers, Joseph Maga and Mark Gruber. The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, especially Tara Zagata, RN, Dr. Theresa Baseski, DO, Dr. Jeremy Celestine, MD, and Dr. Michael Socher MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish / St. Aloysius Church, 143 Division Street, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Brian F. Van Fossen, as celebrant and Rev. James R. Nash, Rev. Alex Roche, Rev. James Alco, and Rev. Richard Cirba con celebrating. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to go directly to the church Saturday morning. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
