Henry "Hank" Marks Obituary

Henry (Hank) Marks, 91, of Nanticoke passed away Thursday July 13, 2023, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.


He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Stella (Wencel), brother Leonard, sister Rita Albert, infant sisters Marcella and Julia.


He is survived by his loving wife Marie (Ambrose) Marks, daughter Kathy Ann Marks M.D. her husband Philip Bates M.D. granddaughters Devon Marie and Larisa Ann, nieces and nephews and his little dog Trixie.


Hank was a graduate of Nanticoke High School class of 1949 and furthered his education at Penn State University, R.C.A. Institute of Technology and Capital Engineering Institute, Washington, D.C.


He was a 23 yr. employee of A.R.A.Services Corp and was also employed by Automatic Service Co. Tobyhanna Army Depot, Foster Wheeler and Teleradio Engineering Corp.


In his younger yrs. he enjoyed pitching fast pitch softball and dart competitions. He was a charter member and longtime president of the Greater Nanticoke Area Taxpayer Forum, a former member and longtime board member and chairman of the Nanticoke City Municipal Authority and a member of St. Faustina’s Church of Nanticoke.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday July 20 th , 2023 at 10am in St Faustina’s Kowalska Parish 520 South Hanover Street, Nanticoke.


Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on the morning of mass.


Friends may call in the chapel of the church on Thursday morning 9-10 a.m.


Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Colonial Capital Humane Society 1860 Old Airport Rd. New Bern, NC 28562
