Joseph M. Pavone, 82, of Nanticoke, passed away Sunday evening, February 2, 2025 at Lakewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Sheatown. Born in Nanticoke on June 1, 1942, he was a son of the late Cesare and Maria Gobetti Pavone. He was a graduate of Nanticoke High School and was employed by several local manufacturing companies prior to retiring. Joseph was a member of St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, Nanticoke and previously St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was the last member of his immediate family, being preceded in death by brothers; Massimo, Ralph, and Chester Pavone; and sisters, Mary Hoopes, Irene George, and Jennie Rosencrans. Surviving are several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 S. Hanover Street, Nanticoke. Those attending the mass are asked to go directly to the church Monday morning. There will be no public viewing or calling hours. Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Nanticoke.
