Hey pop, YO YO, it's mateo.
I'd like to thank you for all the years of being a dedicated grandfather to me and my siblings and also to my children. I know we didn't live close by, but you always made an effort to be in our lives.
I'll never forget the time we road on the rollercoaster at knobels. As soon as we hit the drop, the look on your face completely changed haha.
I'll always enjoy our visit with you back in 2019. The kicker was when you and Julie had a few small conversations in spanish. I'll carry those moments with me forever.
Love you, MATEO

My Pop!
I have many memories of this great man. One summer, my brother and I took a trip with our mother (Leon’s daughter) to Pennsylvania. We loved to fish, just like he did. He was a skilled fisherman.
Impatient as always, I started going after the smaller fish while we fished together. This made my grandpa laugh.
He asked, "Why don’t you go after the bigger fish?"
I shrugged and said, “This is much easier, Pop! I’m catching so many!"
He smiled and replied, “Try to go after the bigger fish."
That simple advice has stayed with me ever since. In life, I’ve tried to go after the bigger fish.
Live on Pop Pop!

Dear Pop Pop,
Thank you for giving my siblings and I the greatest gift of all, our mother.
Thank you for always remembering all of your grandkids and great grands over the years for birthdays and holidays and any random time just saying hello.
Even though we lived so far apart, you always made an effort to be in our lives and stay in touch.
I will always remember your laughter and voice most of all. You had so much strength in just your voice.
Love you forever Pop Pop.
Your granddaughter Alessia

Pop,
I remember meeting you for the first time and instantly feeling attached to you. Your backyard was so beautiful and green, with your fish pond, and at night, we’d all chase fireflies. I remember the time we got so bored that we walked down the alley behind your house, all the way to the playground, and stayed there for hours. You always knew how to keep me entertained, like playing heads or tails while we waited in line at a restaurant.
You were so loving to me and my siblings. Your laugh and voice were so authentic. When I got my first phone, we called every day and talked for hours, you always made me laugh. You also gave me great advice; you were so wise and intelligent.
I wish I had more time to know you as I got older, but I find comfort in knowing that God has welcomed you into His kingdom. I love you so much, and you will always be in my heart.
I’m going to miss you, Pop. I will see you again someday.
With all my love,
Ben

Pop pop the stud. I will miss you guy. I wish we could have spent more time together and had more conversations but I know you are at peace now and rejoicing in the kingdom of heaven. I will never forget your voice and the energy that carried with it. This picture shows how much I adored you and wanted to be near you the very few times that I was. Thank you for always remembering every birthday and making me feel special. There is something different about a relationship between a grandson and grandfather. It is special and though we were distant many times , I know you cared . Love you Pop, give GG a hug for me.
Love, Anthony

My beloved Dad...
My best memories of you and our shared talents and passions: Bursting out in random song, jingling keys and whistling. The hours spent together at the restaurant learning the art of customer service and connections.
You inspired me to follow in your footsteps to enlist in the Army... with a little help from the TV show MASH. You loved that show and especially the theme song. I will play it and think of you fondly. I loved when you spoke with my Drill Sgt.and he told you I was "squared away." You were so proud of me and I was and still am proud to be your Daughter.
Teaching Jay and I how to navigate the woods and pick berries. Watching you be such a charismatic personality in our community. I will miss our long phone chats and love of writing letters. Loving all the ones in your special handwriting that seemed no one could decifer but me! Then the last couple of years on your trusty Smith Corona..sometimes all in red ink and lots of stickers!
Thank you for being a wonderful Pop Pop to my tribe..you do live on in them. PA to CA and back atcha.
Rest easy and in Peace Dad.
Love, Vanessa

Please accept my sincere condolences in the passing of Leon. I remember him well as he was a friend and tennis partner to my brother, Jerry Paluck. He always had a smile and kind words as he would sit on my parents' back porch on Robert Street chatting it up with my Mom.
May he rest easy. It was a pleasure to have known him.
