Obituary of Jason Hendricks

Jason L. Hendricks, 52, of Hunlock Creek, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 following an automobile accident.
Born November 10, 1972 in Arizona he was a son of the late Arthur and Joyce (Ruff) Hendricks
Jason returned to this area in October 2024, after living in Crescent City, California, Detroit, Michigan, NEPA, and a little time in Bermuda. Jason had a gypsy spirit. Jason was employed as a contractor for V M Comsource internet company, Catasauqua. He was charismatic and hardworking and will be remembered as a funny and witty jokester who never missed an opportunity to make people laugh. Spending time with his family was most important, but in his spare time he greatly enjoyed traveling; recently returning from a road trip exploring eastern Tennessee, playing games, watching movies, and listening to music of all kinds. He was an avid knife and gun collector, who loved to sharpen his knives daily.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Isaac Virtue.
He is survived by his fiancé, Angela Roote; sons: Jason and Aaron (wife Hope), both of Salt Lake City, Utah; daughters; Haileigh Alexandra and Avery Lynn of Nanticoke; soon to be step daughter, Allie Rose Roote, at home; brothers, Spencer, Paul Payne, and Nicholas Friel (Leanne) of England; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Last, but not least, his beloved dog and loyal companion, Dozer.
Family and friends will be received for viewing and visitation hours Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 East Broad Street, Nanticoke.
