Eleanor A. “Ellie” Anthony, 64, of Conway South Carolina and formerly Sheatown section of Newport township passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born November 27, 1960,she was the daughter of Eleanor Pegarella Grabski who resided with her, and the late Henry Grabski Jr. who passed in 2021.

Ellie graduated from John S. Fine High School, Nanticoke, class of 78 and went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in business from College Misericordia.

She was an elementary teacher for 41 years, beginning at Pope John Paul Parochial School, Nanticoke, and later with the Greater Nanticoke Area School District at the K.M. Smith Elementary School the Elementary Center locations, retiring in 2024.

She was a member of St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, Nanticoke; She enjoyed crafting and decorating in her free time.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, is her fiance, Dennis Russo; a son, Marc Anthony, Surfside Beach, SC; a brother, Henry Grabski and his wife, Jackie, Sheatown; a niece, Leanne Grabski, Los Angeles, CA; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

All are invited for a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 S. Hanover Street, Nanticoke with the Rev. Richard Gyansah-Tabiri, as celebrant. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to go directly to the church.

There will be a private viewing and visitation from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, Nanticoke, for friends and family to attend, until transferral to the church.

Interment with Rite of Committal will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
