Charles F. Galabinski Jr., 73, of Nanticoke, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025 a patient at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. His wife is the former Mary Ellen Kruszka. A life-long resident of Nanticoke, he was a son of the late Charles and Laura Zampetti Galabinski. He was a graduate of Nanticoke High School and furthered his education at Luzerne County Community College. Charles was employed as a correctional officer for 25 years, first at S.C.I. Dallas and retired from S.C.I. Retreat. He enjoyed the simple things in life and was an avid outdoorsman. In his spare time, he was happy hunting, fishing and going for drives in the country. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Joseph Galabinski. Surviving is his wife, Mary Ellen, with whom he shared nearly 35 years of marriage; a daughter Kristen Durso and her husband, Alex Manorek, Pittston; a sister, Maria Russoniello and her husband, Vincent, Moscow; a sister-in-law, Tammy Galabinski, West Nanticoke; a brother-in-law, Larry Kruszka and his wife, Marion, Pittston; as well as nieces and nephews. There will be no public services, viewing or calling hours. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
