Ramona “Mona” Mera, 68, of Nanticoke, passed away surrounded by the love of her family, Monday, March 11, 2024 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Born September 11, 1955, in Alden, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Louise Staskiel Sedorchuk. Mona was employed by White Transit. Driving school bus for the Greater Nanticoke Area for many years, where she was affectionately known as “THE bus driver.” She adored her cats LuLu, Lilly, and Lucy. Mona loved vacationing with her children and her second family The Buckley’s. She also enjoyed shopping, gardening, cooking and weekly trips to the salon. In addition to her parents, Mona was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Mera Jr., who passed away February 4, 2005; and her sister, Nancy Sedorchuk. Surviving are sons; Steven Mera and his wife, Heather, Josh Mera and his wife, Jane; brothers, Tommy Sedorchuk and his wife, Denise, Ray Sedorchuk and his wife, Loreene, Chris Sedorchuk and his wife, Joan; nephew, whom was more like a brother to her, Roman Sedorchuk and his wife, Pam; brother in law, Shawn Mera and his wife, Renee; several additional nieces and nephews; and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke. Friends may call for visitation 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
