Growing up with Tim next door has given me so many wonderful memories. We were only 3 weeks apart in age and spent many hours playing together. We walked to school at the Orangeville school together everyday. Tim would stop and get me and then we would stop next door at Mommom Megargel's so she could inspect us and make sure our mothers had us dressed appropriately for the weather and then she would send us on our way with a little box of raisins to snack on. He taught me to ride my bike, scolded me when I didn't bail off my sled and ended up in the road. We spent countless hours playing baseball, looking for salamanders in the spring, piling on his pedal fire truck and riding it down the hill (no brakes of course), hiking on the mountain, and church activities. Heaven only knows how many homemade Easter eggs we made and choir practices we attended. There are countless more memories of our childhood together and I will always cherish each and every one. He was my first best friend and confidant.

Sincere condolences to Trudy / Rick and extended family.
I first became acquainted with Tim playing baseball for Orangeville. As teammates, we became fast friends, enjoying playing the game including the after game "activities" and going thru college together. We maintained that friendship for several years afterward until distance kept us apart. Luckily, Tim was able to join a gathering of a core of ex Orioles two years ago. Sadly, and heroically, Tim never let on what he was going thru - hence the shock of the news from yesterday. He will be missed by me and I know by his teammates from the '80-'84 time period.
Play hard in Heaven #7!
