Obituary of Lynn Wiepa

Lynn S. Wiepa, 64, of Nanticoke, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 7, 2020 at Residential Hospice inpatient unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre following a lengthy illness. Born June 24, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Enid Cragle Novitski-Rogers. She graduated from Lake Lehman High School, class of 1976. She resided in Nanticoke since her marriage to Gregory Wiepa in 1977. He preceded her in death in 2014. Lynn was employed in home health care as an aide, until retiring in 1995. After retiring, she became a homemaker and was a caregiver and “Nanny” to many children throughout the years. In addition to her parents and husband, Gregory, she was preceded in death by her step father, Joseph Rogers; her twin brother, Leonard Novitski, and a sister, Sharon Stockage. Surviving are her sons, Gregory Wiepa and his fiancé, Jamie Chernowsky and Joshua Wiepa, both of Nanticoke; grandchildren, Logan and Parker Wiepa and Devin and Ember Sky Wiepa; brother-in-law, Robert Stockage of Sweet Valley and nieces and nephews. Viewing and visitation hours will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke followed by a blessing service at 7 p.m. with Deacon Herbert Cruikshank, of St. Faustina parish, officiating. Private interment will be in Holy Transfiguration Cemetery, Nanticoke.
