Michael Oktisuk, 80, of Plymouth Township, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. Born February 16, 1940 in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Oktisuk. Michael served his country with the U.S. Army 83rd Ordinance Company from 1960 to 1964 and was stationed in Germany. He was also a reservist until 1966 attaining the rank of Specialist 4th grade. He retired from Proctor & Gamble as a technician at the age of 56. After retiring, he and his wife traveled throughout the United States and overseas visiting, Germany, Switzerland and Wales. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter. He attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Nanticoke. He was preceded in death by his sister Kathy Fairchild. Surviving is his wife, the former Maureen Jones, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. Also surviving are in-laws, William Jones of Apalachin, NY, Larry Jones of Larksville, John Jones of Hunlock Creek and Peg Brocious of Benton. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Steven Fairchild of Midland, TX, David Fairchild, Robert Fairchild, and Pamela Whitlock all of San Angelo, TX, Jolene Jones of Palm Desert, CA, Jeffrey Jones of Apalachin, NY, Susan Metcalf of Benton, Jamie Van Horn of Stillwater, Jennifer Van Horn of Riverside, Angela Patterson of Larksville, Erin Smith of Gouldsboro and Emily Jones of Uniondale. Private services will be held with the Rev. Timothy G. Hall, pastor of Nebo Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. There will be no public viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Michael’s memory may be made to Assembly of God Faith Church, 220 Middle Road, Nanticoke, PA 18634.

Private services will be held for the immediate family with Pastor Timothy Hall, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery
