Obituary of Loretta (Stoy) Raydo

Loretta (Stoy) Raydo, 89, loving wife and mother, of Liverpool, NY, and a native of Sheatown section of Newport Township, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2021, after a brief illness.
Born June 21, 1932 in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose (Nalezny) Stoy. She attended Newport Township schools and graduated from the former Newport Township High School.
In her early years Mrs. Raydo was a homemaker and, after raising her boys, went on to work in the children's section of the Onondaga County Public Library on Salina Street in Syracuse.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William R. Raydo in 2012; brothers, John and Stanley Stoy and a sister, Josephine Zajaczkowski.
She is survived by her children; William, James, and John along with their wives; Marina, Karen, and Jane respectively, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a sisters-in-law, Betty Stoy of Alden and Loretta (Raydo) Hughes of Naples, FL as well as nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Nanticoke on Monday June 27, 2022 and will be announced.
Interment will be in St. Mary of Czestochowa Cemetery, Nanticoke.
