William D. Jarrett Sr., 69, of Nanticoke, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at his home. A lifelong resident of Nanticoke, he was born January 31, 1953, a son of the late Robert and Bridget (Connell) Jarrett. He graduated from Nanticoke High School, class of 1971. William was a well- known police officer serving the City of Nanticoke for 33 years until retiring in 2007. He was fun loving with a great sense of humor. He was passionate about singing while playing his guitar and banjo and Neil Young music. He also liked shooting pool, his GTO, watching westerns, was an animal lover, and of course his beer and cigars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Jarrett. He will be missed by his children, William Jarrett Jr. (Denise Aurelia) of Warminster; Jason Jarrett of Nanticoke; and Jennifer Jarrett (Kim Heffron) of Plymouth; sisters, Joyce Koepke (Larry) of Moscow and Judy Zavislak (Darrell) of Hunlock Creek; as well as nieces and nephews. Viewing and visitation hours will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday from Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke.
