HARVEY W MOYER 75, of Nanticoke passed away peacefully on Thursday evening surrounded by his loving family in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Born in Shickshinny he was the son of the late Commodore and Minnie Hankey Moyer. He was educated in the Northwest schools. He was employed at the Nanticoke Cigar Mill. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by AC&F, more recently Berwick Forge and Fabricating, for many years. Harvey loved to hunt, fish and work on his 1987 Chevy pickup, and was a huge Elvis and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed scraping his bingo tickets and working on his Jeep Willys while cussing them both with a cigarette in one hand and a coffee in the other. He was always wondering where his grandson, NYPD officer Clyde Jr. was working and often wore the NYPD apparel. Harvey was a member of the Polish Falcons in Mocanaqua. Preceding him in death was his brother Henry Moyer. Surviving is the love of his life former wife Marlene (Priscilla), son Clyde and his fiancé Loretta Presto, Nanticoke; daughter Carol Moyer, Nanticoke; daughter Kimberly Slosky and her husband Edward, Mountain Top; grandchildren; Clyde Moyer Jr, and his wife Silvia, Miranda and Jacob Slosky, Heather Giron; great grandchildren Ashley and Logan Moyer; Cousin Jean Harris, Plains. Funeral service will be held Wednesday September 21, 2022 at 10am in the Dinelli Family Funeral Home Inc, 170 East Broad Street, Nanticoke with the Rev. Barry Lohman of the Zion United Church of Christ of Nanticoke officiating. Interment will be in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Nanticoke.
