Obituary of Sandy LaBar
Please share a memory of Sandy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sandy LaBar, 62, of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully Monday morning, October 17, 2022.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of Nancy Markowski LaBar, of Hanover Township, and the late Clarence LaBar. She was a graduate of Hanover Area High School, Empire Beauty School as well as Luzerne County Community College.
Sandy worked at Leslie Fay, Plains, for many years and last at Integrated Power Designs, Hanover Industrial Park, in the billing department. She was a member of the American Legion Post # 673, Ladies Auxiliary and over the years was a Brownies Troop Leader. She always did volunteer work whenever it was needed.
Sandy loved going to the shore, and the ocean was her favorite place to be. Not a day went by that she did not talk to her mother and sisters. The talks and laughs are going to be missed beyond belief. What she cherished the most was her daughter and granddaughter. They were the light of her life.
Surviving in addition to her mother, Nancy, are her daughter and granddaughter, Kristy and Ella Place; sisters, Judith Norvell; Tammy Kopiak (Gregory), of Hanover Township; and Lisa Mitkowski (Kevin), of Hunlock Creek; as well as many nieces and nephews.
May your pain be gone and you find a place to spread your wings and fly!
