Betty Jane Miller, 84, of Nanticoke, passed away early Monday morning, February 27th. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles E. (Chuck) Miller, on June 3, 2020. Born in Fairmount Springs on March 13, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Dorothy Mundkowski Marshall. Betty Jane was a graduate of Nanticoke High School and Empire Beauty School, Wilkes-Barre. She operated a beauty salon on Market Street, Nanticoke for many years and last out of her home until retiring. Earlier in life she was employed at General Cigar Company, Nanticoke and RCA Corporation in Mountain Top. Betty Jane was longtime member of Nebo Baptist Church and its Bible study group. She and her husband Chuck did everything together. They especially enjoyed many weekends fishing and spending vacation time at the hunting cabin in Bradford County. In addition to her husband, Chuck, she was preceded in death her grandson, Justin Pehala; and her sister, Jean Morris. Surviving is a daughter, Susan Pehala and husband, Paul, of Wanamie; a son, Charles (Chip) Miller and wife, Michelle, of Nanticoke; grandchildren, Crystal Lore; and Kasey Hutter and husband, Chris; great granddaughters, Tori Pehala and Olivia Lore; a great grandson, Landon Lore; as well as nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke with the Rev. Timothy G. Hall, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Viewing and visitation hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
