Judith A. (Judy) Margalski, 78, of Nanticoke, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 28th, 2023 at Birchwood Nursing Center. Born March 6, 1944, Judy was the daughter of the late Stanley and Pearl Butka Sosinski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Morris. Judy graduated from Nanticoke High School and married Leornard J. Margalski on April 18, 1964, residing in Nanticoke her entire life. She was employed by Kay Wholesale Drug, Hanover Township, and was last a receptionist and switchboard operator at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital until her retirement in 2008. She was a member of St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, Nanticoke. She was an avid collector, enjoying flea markets, yard sales, antiquing and also had a passion for reading, classic movies, and loving her pet cats. Surviving are her husband, Leonard, with whom she shared fifty-eight years of marriage; sons, Lee, of Nanticoke; Dean and his wife, Karen, of Wapwallopen; and Keith and his fiancée, Amy Brienza of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Tyler, Amanda, and Blaise Margalski; a brother- in- law, Robert Morris; and several nieces. The family will have a private viewing and there will be no public calling hours. Friends and relatives are invited for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 South Hanover Street, Nanticoke. The Rev. Richard Gayansah-Tabiri will be the celebrant. Those attending the Funeral Mass are asked to go directly to the church on Monday morning. Interment and Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
