When I was around 8 years old Joe came down the house to see my dad. He was busy on the bulldozer. So Joe walked over to talk to me, as I was throwing rocks in the lake. Joe started throwing rocks with me and soon after that my puppy noticed someone was standing next to me. (My puppy was still learning manners) He came silently running up behind us and jumped on Joe's back and pushed him in the lake. Joe caught himself and only his shoes and bottom of his pants got wet. When your a kid adults always seem so serious so I was so scared I was going to get in trouble. He just laughed, walked out of the lake and picked up a stick and threw it in the water. My puppy jumped right in for that stick. So laughingly he said they were even. Being a puppy he came right out and shook off right next to us. He said well now we both learned you can't get even with a dog.
Joe always looked so serious but I always knew him to be kind and funny. He was definitely a great person and he will be missed.
