Stephen R. Kowalchin, 68, of Nanticoke, passed away unexpectedly, Monday July 3, 2023 at his home. A lifelong resident of Nanticoke, he was born May 7, 1955 a son of the late Albert and Alice Rustay Kowalchin. Stephen was employed as a truck driver for YRC (Yellow Roadway Corporation), and retired in 2020 after thirty-six years with the company. He belonged to the Nanticoke Quoit Club and the 400 Club of Nanticoke. In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Tiberi Kowalchin in 2000. He is survived by his wife of twenty years, the former Nadine Wasiakowski; a daughter, Anna P. Kowalchin, at home; an uncle, Joe Kowalchin; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; as well as many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends. Private funeral arrangements are in the care of Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 East Broad Street, Nanticoke. There will be no public viewing or calling hours. Entombment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
