Mary L. Manson, born at Avondale Hill, Plymouth, Pennsylvania, was one of seven children born to Ukrainian parent’s Pyranka and Wasil Peters. She graduated from Harter High School and worked as a secretary for the New York State until retirement in 1981. Mary and Warren Manson moved back to Nanticoke to be close to family and friends and to enjoy their retirement. She was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Nanticoke. Mary was 97 years old when she peacefully passed in 2019 in Fayetteville, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren; son, Donald; sisters, Ann, Ollie, Stephanie, Julie, and brother Walter. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Pikul, son-in-law Walter; and three grandchildren, David, Jacquelyn and Jason Manson; and many nieces and nephews. Her Memorial Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023 from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke with the Rev. Charles Warwick, pastor of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Alden Station, officiating. Interment will follow in Nanticoke Cemetery.
