Bonnie Lee Floryshak, 73, of Berwick, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024 as a result of a car accident. Born January 23, 1951 in Nanticoke, she was daughter to the late William Franklin Bray and Dorothy Balla Bray. She graduated from Greater Nanticoke High School in 1968 and took library science courses at College Misericordia. She was employed over the years at United Penn Bank in Wilkes-Barre, Mill Memorial Library in Nanticoke, the MMI Preparatory School library in Freeland, and Country Folk in Nescopeck. In addition, she was a partner to her husband in running the Lookout House restaurant and formerly the Lookout Motor Lodge. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Conygham, where she was active in the crafts committee and running the annual Apple Fest. Bonnie had special talents in both basket making and quilting and shared her gifts with many people throughout the area. She and her friend MaryLou taught crafting classes at Bear Creek Camp. Bonnie was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Nanticoke Chapter 174 and Dallas Chapter 396, where she held various offices including Worthy Matron twice. She regularly volunteered to decorate the Jackson Mansion for the Berwick Historical Society. Above all, Bonnie was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband and partner, Michael Floryshak, Berwick; sons, Nathan and companion Michelle, Sugarloaf; Aaron and wife Grete, Sugarloaf; and Noah and wife Brianna, Berwick. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Brianna, Reed, Louis, Jeffrey, Zoe and Izzie. Bonnie is survived by her siblings, Linda Walters and husband Dan, Union Hall, Virginia; Nancy Turner and husband, Richard, Stillwater, Pennsylvania; and William Bray and wife, Maria, Sunset Beach, North Carolina. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews, her lifelong friend Christine Pagoda, her second family at The Lookout House and numerous other friends. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 9, at 11:00 am, from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 East Broad Street Nanticoke, with the Rev. Cynthia White, her pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Nanticoke Cemetery. Family and friends may call for visitation hours, Monday July 8th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Also, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Order of Eastern Star memorial service will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. Contributions in Bonnie’s name may be made to the Berwick Historical Society P.O.
