Donna Marie Stone, 58, of Nanticoke, died Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. She was a daughter of the late Gerald and Beverly Siglin Zimmerman, and lived in Wilkes-Barre most of her life. She later moved to Hanover Township, until finally residing in Nanticoke, with her loving husband, Harry J. Stone Jr. with whom she shared 28 years of marriage, until his passing, April 29, 2019. She graduated as an honor student from E. L. Meyers High School, class of 1984, where she succeeded in arts. She and her husband Harry were very active in several functions, making many wonderful friends along the way. Together, they volunteered for Stanton Lanes for over 15 years; for Valley Santa, as well as numerous other local charity organizations. They were members of many bowling leagues. Donna was president of the Nanticoke Resident council for many years. She helped with food giveaways, and toys for tots, in which she was involved with many wonderful people with whom she had gotten very close to. She enjoyed being with her husband and family, playing cards, camping, traveling, and spending quality time with everyone. She loved crafting, cooking, gardening, bowling, bingo, and always chit chatting. Being a PTA and sports mom were some of her other passions. Donna worked at Hills Department store, and Trion Industries, in addition to many other places throughout her life. She is survived by her most precious and beloved gifts from God, her children, James, and Kyle; sisters, Brenda Sweeney, and her husband, Gene, and Sherry Zimmerman, and her fiance, Melvin Harrison; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and many cousins. A private luncheon will be held in her honor. There will be no public viewing or calling hours. Arrangements are in the care of Dinelli Family Funeral Home, Nanticoke.
