Obituary of Julie E. Wren

Julie E. Wren, 60, of Nanticoke, died Monday, October 14th, 2024, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 21, 1964, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Harold Wren, of Montello Wisconsin, and the late Dorothy Rogers Grivner.
She was a graduate of G. A. R. High School, and attended Empire Beauty School, Wilkes-Barre, to receive her beautician’s license. She worked at Bruno’s Hair and Nail Boutique, Plains, as well as other salons in the area.
She was a member of Nebo Baptist Church, Nanticoke.
In addition to her mother, Julie was preceded in death by her step father, Raymond L. “Fox” Grivner, and her granddaughter, Raelyn Randall; and her nephew Trevor Wren.
She is survived by a son, Richard Simon; daughters, Sydnei Millan (Damon), and Sunni Rae Popovich, all of Nanticoke; father, Harold Wren and step-mother, Anna Wren, of Montello, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; brothers, Jeffrey Wren, of Luzerne, and Tony Wren, of Texas; her significant other of twenty years, Joseph Popovich; and her childhood sweetheart, Richard Simon Sr..
Funeral Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke, with Pastor Timothy G. Hall, officiating.
Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday, from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donation in Julie’s memory be made to help assist in the funeral expenses.
