Obituary of Rose Yoh
Please share a memory of Rose to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rose Mary Yoh, 75, of Kingston, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Her husband is William “Bill” Yoh Sr., with whom she shared 58 years of marriage on July 2nd of this year.
Born on December 18, 1948 in West Wyoming, Rose was a daughter of the late Carl and Freda Shirley Ambrose.
Rose was a member of the last graduating class from last West Wyoming High School in 1966.
Rose loved baking, cooking, and playing board games, especially Scrabble. She enjoyed comedy and had a great sense of humor and personality. Her granddaughters had her heart. They were her pride and joy. Rose was the “Mom” to all the kids on the softball teams and to the neighborhood kids, who knew her door was always open. They enjoyed coming over and spending time at the house, and she enjoyed having them around.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her brothers, Dave Ambrose and Carl “Sonny” Ambrose; sister, Shirley Weaver; and a sister-in-law, Diane Ambrose.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Bill, and her sons, William “Bill” Yoh Jr. (Jennifer), of Nanticoke and James “Jim” Yoh (Dr. Karen Munroe), Cleveland, OH; granddaughters, Sarah Yoh (Shelby Pick), Pringle, and Madison Slilaty (Matthew), NY; godson, Gary Thomas, Mt Top, PA; goddaughter Lorrie Ambrose Crisci Naples, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center for taking such good care of Mom over the past three weeks. They made a very difficult road a little smoother with their kind words and gestures. We would also like to thank the Dinelli Family for all their assistance during this difficult time. They are wonderful.
Per her wishes, there will be no services or calling hours at this time.
In lieu of flowers to honor Rose, donations can be made to fight Parkinson's Disease at parkinsons.org
Arrangements are in the care of Dinelli Family Funeral Home, Nanticoke.
