Obituary of William R. Yoh Sr.

William R. Yoh Sr., 81, of Kingston, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Maple Ridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kingston.
His wife, Rose Mary Ambrose Yoh, preceded him in death October 16, 2024. They shared 58 years of marriage on July 2nd of this year.
Born November 24, 1942 in Alexandria, Louisiana, Bill was a son of the late Nathan and Shirley Bellas Yoh.
After graduating from Kingston High School, Bill enlisted in the United States Navy in 1960, where he served as a hospitalman at U.S. Naval Hospital, Philadelphia, until his honorable discharge on November 22, 1963. Bill often spoke of the pride he took in his work being an anesthesiologist in the military.
His lifelong career of 44 years at Parsons Insulation had him work on many local businesses which he often spoke of and really enjoyed. Here, he was also a member of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators & Asbestos Workers Union - Local Union 38 in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
He was a member of Kingston Lodge #395 Free and Accepted Masons; Consistory; and Irem Shriners.
Bill was an avid golfer, winning many tournaments, and even made some "Holes In One" over the years. He enjoyed action movies and animals. His dog, Laddie, was his pride and joy in his later years.
In addition to wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sheryl Ann Yoh.
He will be deeply missed by his sons, William “Bill” Yoh Jr. (Jennifer), of Nanticoke and James “Jim” Yoh (Dr. Karen Munroe), Cleveland, OH; granddaughters, Sarah Yoh (Shelby Pick), Pringle, and Madison Slilaty (Matthew), NY; brother, Scott Yoh (Phyllis); sister, Sandy Wright (Robert); as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Dinelli Family for all their assistance during this difficult time. They are a caring, wonderful family who was their every step of the way for us.
Per his wishes, there will be no services or calling hours at this time.
In lieu of flowers to honor Bill, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Association at alz.org.
