Constance C. “Connie” Kashnicki, 83, of Glen Lyon passed away Saturday morning, January 18th at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Edward Kashnicki. They would have celebrated 63 years of marriage on Valentine’s Day. Born January 1, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John and Annette Swykowski Klokososki. She attended Newport Township schools and was a lifelong resident of Glen Lyon. Connie worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish/St. Adalbert’s Church, Glen Lyon. Connie’s main interest in life was her home and family. She loved to garden and there wasn't a flower she couldn't grow. In addition to her husband, Edward, she will be lovingly missed by her daughter, Beverly Pierson and her husband, Paul of Nanticoke and her two special pals, Kenzi and Bella. “Whenever life gets too good, whenever fate hands you something wonderful, something else gets taken away” Funeral services will begin Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Adalbert’s Church, 31 S. Market Street, Glen Lyon with the Rev. Philbert Takyi-Nketiah, her pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, Glen Lyon. Viewing and visitation hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
