This is the only photo I have of us when we were kids. It was a Skype call that I wasn't expecting, but that I'll never forget. In your words, you told me the call was to hear my voice again, even though I'd just seen you on the bus. I'd never felt the way I did that day- the love, the care, the way you just wanted a little extra time with me. I wish I'd been there more for you, I wish I had taken more photos. We were small potatoes, singing Katy Perry in the back of the bus, talking about concepts our middle school brains could never fully understand. You are one of the smartest people I've ever known. Beauty and brains, I used to call you. You and I shared secrets, hopes, and dreams. You're in my dreams now, years later. Thank you for being an amazing friend. I love you.
