Debra Ann Green Moore of Nanticoke PA, passed away Tuesday July 21, 2020. Daughter of George J. Green, and Raymond and Althea Louise Dow Green Hennequin, Deb was born in Winsted CT on May 1, 1955. Raised in Winsted and Goshen CT, she was a 1973 graduate of Wamogo Regional High School. She was a patriot from an early age, as a child reciting the presidents in order, backwards and forwards, and always interested in the lives of our past presidents, in particular her favorite, Theodore Roosevelt. Deb joined the Army, serving at several bases in the U.S. before stints at the Weisbaden and Pirmasens bases in Germany. She loved her travels throughout Europe with her now former husband Garland Moore, with whom she has always remained friends. Deb adored animals and lavished her love on many throughout her life. She is survived by her sisters, Donna-Althea Boucher of Manning SC, Lisa Lillis (Charlie) of Goshen CT; Terry Maule (Jerry) of Palm City FL; Rose Cronk (Bob) of Ashley Falls MA; Karen Harkins (Don) of Manchester NH; and brothers Robert Green (Sue) of Winsted CT and Richard Green (Terry) of Avon CT. She also leaves her very dear friends Dave and Kim of Nanticoke PA, who helped her thru many difficult times, as well as her friends at the Wilkes-Barre PA Veterans Affairs and Veterans Services. She leaves also her beloved kitty, Lexi. Services are private. Debbie found much joy in hearing the latest stories of the animals at A Second Chance Animal Shelter; in lieu of flowers she would appreciate donations made in her memory to the shelter, at PO Box 607, Manning SC 29102, Att: Sherri Arment, Office Manager.
