My condolences to the family. Oh the memories I have from childhood visiting Grandpa Walters and Joyce. Every visit my brothers and sister and I would file into the house and gravitate to the couch where we would sit so well behaved in front of the very large candy dish sat that sat on the table. All eyes on the candy and afraid to make the first move toward the dish, then one of us got brave then another and Joyce would look at us with her big beautiful smile and laugh and she would say help yourself and that was just so wonderful for us. We loved visiting in the summer and had so much fun with them. My last visit was probably three years ago and Joyce had not changed and yes the beautiful smile and of course, the candy dish! She will be missed and always loved and forever in our memories.

I will always remember Joyce as an important member of St. John's Lutheran in Nanticoke. She would always remind me of my Dad's connection to her family. She was a great person and will be missed by all who knew her.
We wish her family our condolences and God's blessings.

I have many wonderful memories of Joyce and Grandpa, and was saddened to hear of her death. We had planned to visit with her in July 2021 when we will be in Nanticoke. As kids we had great times at San Souci park and Harvey’s Lake! Chris & Kathy we are thinking of you also in the loss of your Mother, she was special.

Mom Walters always treated me like one of her own. I am grateful for all the welcome and kindness she showed me over many years, her patience and her smile. She was a wonderful woman and her daughters are her legacy.
