I am still in shock over this news. I knew Bobby as my Dad’s friend with whom he worked at the Housing Authority. Every year around the holidays, Bobby would come over to have a few drinks with my dad at the kitchen table. Oh, how they would laugh!! After my dad passed, Bobby and I stayed in touch. I just visited with him a month ago and cannot wrap my head around now knowing that was our last visit. He was such a genuinely good guy. He will be greatly missed.

I will always think of Uncle Bob as the man who gave Todd and I mason jars to catch lightning bugs! My family lived next door to him and the rest of Hrivnak family since the 70s. He was my godfather. Myself, Chris, Matthew Shawn and Todd grew up together. I know how much he loved his family and his neighbors! His passion for gardening fishing and farming was amazing. We all have so many amazing memories but mine will always be his garden, his humor and his dancing to Centerfield by John Fogerty. His kielbasa will never be forgotten! My parents Best Friend! His Love for Claudia was so inspiring! He had a great relationship with her family including John, Billy, Tracey and the kids and grandkids. East Church street won’t be the same! But Never Forgotten!

The entire Hrivnak family,
Our deepest condolences on the passing of Robert. I’ll always remember the fun times growing up with Johnny and Robert, your fantastic fireworks displays in the alley while they lasted and the great wiffle ball games in “Kondoozi” park and most of all the old time friendships. Robert will be surely missed.
Terry Coombs and the entire Coombs family

So sorry to read about Uncle Bob. He was a great guy from a great Nanticoke/St. Johns Slovak Lutheran Church family. Our families grew up together,, so this is a special loss for me.. Peace be with the entire family as you mourn his passing.
