I am so sorry for your loss. Dave and I were on the Boy Scout committee at Dallas, with our sons. It was great to work with someone so committed to the program. I would also see him at St Paul's dinners -- inside during normal years and outside in the drive up lanes during covid, as recently as a few weeks ago. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Patty & Family:
I am away, but I was so saddened by the news about Dave. Our days together at Wilkes College, especially on the Swim Team, are among the fondest memories of my life. It was an honor to be the Co-Captain of the extraordinary 1975 co-ed Team with Dave. And he has been a Good Friend, client, and referral source in the years since, including our very special and enjoyable Swim Team "reunion" breakfasts with Kevin A., Bill M., and Paul N. from time to time. I still have and cherish the quilt that Dave's wonderful Mom made for my Family many years ago. I will always remember Dave as an excellent student, (I can't recall his ever getting a grade less than "A"), a extraordinarily bright and creative banker, and a person who always stuck to a regimen to keep himself in shape - but most of all, an Honest, cheerful, helpful, and dependable person and happy warrior. A great Father, Grandfather, Husband, Son, and Friend. He will be missed by many. --Garry S. Taroli, Dallas, Pa..

Patty & family, I'm so very sorry to hear of Dave's untimely passing. Even though we're both GNAers, it wasn't until college that Dave and I really got to know each other. I will always be grateful that he transferred to Wilkes. I was floundering my freshman year there until I started hanging around with him. It was his influence that turned things around for me. His commitment to studying, his keen intelligence and his determination to succeed rubbed off and we became close friends. I smile now when I recall our college years and getting rides back to Nanticoke in Dave's famous green VW bug. I had the honor of being in your wedding party and I remember seeing how happy he was that day, marrying the love of his life.
Even though life took us on different paths after college, I always have - and always will - consider Dave to be a good friend. His kindness, his intelligence and his humor were evident to anyone who met him, even in passing. A few years ago, my mother passed away. Dave reached out to me, after literally decades of not seeing one another, and we were able to get together again and reminisce a few times. It was as if no time had passed by at all.
I will miss him. Please know that my wife and I are keeping you and your family in our prayers.

I worked with David for several years. He was the consummate professional and liked by everyone. Although we did not see each other often since he retired I always considered him a good friend and enjoyed our conversation when we did connect. I will miss him.

Patricia and family, I have know Dave for over 40 years having met him in the 70's when we both were working for competing local banks. Our paths met initially when we were both on a W-B Chamber committee. I was immediately impressed by Dave's intelligence and the kind way he dealt with people. As bankers, we would bump into each other from time to time, sometimes on a competitive basis.
When I joined the Head Start board about 10 years ago or so, I learned that Dave had about 20+ years of seniority on me, but I still saw the same Dave with his wise comments and great people skills. I enjoyed working with him on the Finance Committee and getting to know him a bit better.
For a number of years around 2007 - 2010 I had the privilege of driving for the American Cancer Society to get patients to their appointments. I was surprised one day to see Dave and Pat at the Henry Cancer Center. Dave always seemed to be upbeat and positive about his prognosis when we met there. Driving for ACS stopped with Covid but I still saw Dave from time to time on the Head Start zoom board meetings. I tried to see if we could have breakfast together to catch up, but he wisely said he needed to stay out of public places. I wish we could have had the chance to do share some time together.
My prayers are with Dave and all his family and many friends. We will all miss the great man he is.
(I'm sorry that I won't be able to attend his services as just this morning I tested positive for Covid.)
