Dolores Olshefski Obituary

Dolores Golumb Olshefski, 86, of Nanticoke, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Oakwood

Terrace, Moosic where she resided since July 2021.


Born May 16, 1936, in Nanticoke she was the daughter of the late Walter and Pearl Davis Golumb of

Honey Pot.


She was married to John P. Olshefski for fifty-six years, until his passing on November 8, 2013.


Dolores was employed as a housekeeper at St. Stanislaus Church rectory for thirteen years before

retiring. Earlier, she had worked at RCA Corporation, Mountain Top, as well as Penn Footwear, and

General Cigar Company, both in Nanticoke. She was also employed at the Schoolhouse Day Care

Center on the Sans Souci Highway.


She was a member of St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, Nanticoke and formerly St. Stanislaus Church, and

was active as a Eucharistic Minister, was a leader of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality and leader of the

Holy Hour / Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration.


Dolores enjoyed going fishing, square dancing, Polka dancing, and going on trips. She also liked

spending time at the ocean, listening to music, and loved to read the Bible.


Surviving are her three children; daughter, Michelle Locklear, and husband, Anthony, of Fayetteville, NC;

sons; Michael Olshefski of Warrior Run; and Mark Olshefski of Panama City Beach, FL; 5 grandsons;

Master Sgt. Joshua Pretulak, USAF, and his wife, Leah of Altus Oklahoma; (Retired)Tech Sgt. Luke

Pretulak USAF, and wife, Evon, of Tupelo MS; Tech Sgt. Seth Pretulak USAF and wife, Amanda, of

Surprise, AZ; and Tech Sgt. Isaiah Pretulak, USAF Aviano, Italy; Michael Olshefski Jr, and wife, Amanda,

of Mountaintop; a granddaughter, Keely Marie Olshefski, of Williamsport; twelve great-grandchildren;

Taylor and Jacob Pretulak; Landon, Lincoln, and Ella Pretulak; Natalie, Emma, and Sophie Pretulak;

Bodhi Olshefski; Derrick and Kaylina Olshefski; Viviyana Yeagley, and a sister, Linda Lechlietner

Daniels, and husband, William, of Shickshinnny.


Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 3 from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E.

Broad Street, Nanticoke with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520

S. Hanover Street, Nanticoke. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Nanticoke.


Viewing and visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
